Age Group Development 2
Age Group Development 2 (AGD2) aims to prepare swimmers for a
more intense training programme. Whilst the main emphasis
remains on technique, swimmers will undergo a more intense
programme in preparation for Junior Performance Squad.
General Information
Time: 4 Sessions per Week.
Distance: 2,000m - 4,500m per Session.
Max. Swimmers: 28.
Main Emphasis

Stroke
Technique.

Increase in volume of endurance sets.

Short repetition sets for stroke correction.

Development of speed over 20/25m.

Introduction to stroke counting/holding.

Start practice and correction.

Turn practice and correction.

Relay changeover practice and correction.
-
Develop Training Disciplines (clock reading; punctuality; lane
discipline; understanding need for attendance).
